Transfer Students
LET’S GET THIS JOURNEY STARTED
New to HCC but not new to college? Here’s how to apply to HCC and start building a better tomorrow—right here in your own backyard.
Apply as a transfer student if you’ve taken a college class after you graduated high school.
How to Apply
Applying to HCC is easy, and we’ll be with you at every step of the way. Just follow these steps:
Start Your Application - It's free, and it only takes about 15 minutes to complete. Be sure to write down your Student ID Number!
- High School: Request an official high school transcript to be sent to hp-admissions@kctcs.edu. If you have a GED, please submit the score sheet to the Admissions Counter at the
Hopkinsville or Ft. Campbell campus.
- College: Request all official college transcripts to be sent to hp-registrar@kctcs.edu. College transcripts must be sent directly from the college you attended to HCC.
- Some students find it helpful to use Parchment or the National Student Clearinghouse to submit transcripts electronically.
- If you have taken the ACT, request an official score sheet to be sent to HCC at https://www.act.org/.
- If you have taken the SAT, Advanced Placement (AP), or CLEP, request an official score
sheet to be submitted to HCC at https://www.collegeboard.org/.
- If the ACT/SAT were taken during high school, they may be listed on your high school
transcript. ACT/SAT scores expire after four years. If it has been longer than four
years, there is no need to submit a score sheet.
- AP and CLEP scores do not expire and must be sent separately.
- If you have not taken any of these tests, just skip this step.
- Please wait at least 30 minutes after completing your application before setting up
your account.
- Visit the User Account Center (UAC) to retrieve your username and set your password by selecting “Setup Your User Account/Profile.” Upon activating your account, you will be able to access MyPath, your hub for student self-service and more!
Once you have set up your account, complete the online orientation.
