Why should I become certified?
Certification sets you apart as a true professional.
By certifying as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), you demonstrate that you have the knowledge and skills that are vital to human resource management.
You will gain national recognition.
Once you have acquired your PHR or SPHR certification, you can use your earned designation on your business cards and all of your business correspondence. You will be recognized as a human resource professional with sufficient experience and knowledge to pass a comprehensive certification exam based on the vast body of knowledge that comprises the human resource field.
Certification is essential to your career.
Nationwide there are more than 100,000 certified HR professionals, with thousands more certifying each year. In the future, certification will increasingly be recognized as an essential standard for human resource managers. Many companies already limit employment in human resource management positions to those who are certified professionals.
Which certification is right for you?
Professional in Human Resources (PHR)
PHR certification is a great way to establish yourself in the HR field. It proves your mastery of HR operations, best practices and regulations in the United States, and creates a solid foundation for your future advancement to SPHR certification.
Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR)
SPHR certification solidifies your credibility as an HR leader. It demonstrates you have mastered the strategic and policy-making aspects of HR management in the United States.
