Screening and Contact Tracing
Screening students, employees, and visitors
Students, employees, and visitors are required to conduct daily self-administered temperature and health checks. A thermometer will be available should a temperature need to be taken.
Students presenting symptoms will be encouraged to see their health care provider to be tested and then quarantined at home if the test is positive. Students and employees are required to certify when returning to campus after a quarantine. The Ft. Campbell campus will follow the Army Ed Center guidelines.
Employees with Symptoms
All KCTCS employees will complete the Healthy @ Work training through SafeColleges. Employees will check-in daily using the Employee Check-In through Self Service prior to coming on campus. Those experiencing symptoms will not be allowed on campus for 14 days or until a negative COVID test.
Employees scheduled to report to work and who respond to the self check-in and do not have approval to report to work should work closely with their supervisor to determine the option of remote work or utilization of sick or vacation time until symptoms show COVID.
We are working with local health departments or other partners to trace contacts of any individuals testing positive.
Employees will document those persons they are in contact with for more than 15 minutes, less than 6 feet away, and without wearing a mask. These guidelines are according to the local health department.
