The National League for Nursing Pre-Admission Examination (PAX-RN and PAX-PN)
The PAX, a standardized entrance exam for potential nursing students who seek admittance into nursing schools nationwide,consists of three tests - Verbal Ability, Mathematics, and Science at a high school level. One hour is allowed for each test.
The AD composite percentile score will be used for admission to the Hopkinsville Community College RN Program. The exam will begin promptly at the scheduled time. No one will be admitted to the exam late. Once testing has begun, no additional students will be admitted into the testing area. All examinations will be held in the Technology Building on the Hopkinsville campus. Calculators cannot be used during testing.
Check-in will begin one-half hour prior to the start time and students must have:
- Photo ID
- Activated KCTCS login and password.
The cost of the PAX is $35.00. Payment is due at the time of registration. NLN has a strict "No Refund" policy. For additional information, sample, sample test questions, and a list of frequently asked questions, log on to www.nln.org and select "Testing Services."
