According to HCC President Dr. James E. Selbe, Planters Bank has been named Benefactor
of the Year by Hopkinsville Community College and KCTCS, and received recognition
and an award at the 11th Annual President's Gala and Benefactors Awards Dinner, hosted
by KCTCS President and Mrs. Michael B. McCall at the Lexington Convention Center on
Saturday October 16, 2010.
Last year's event drew more than 600 state and local dignitaries throughout Kentucky to honor an impressive list of the state's leading individuals, businesses, and foundations for their voluntary support of the Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS).
Set to attend the gala from Planters Bank is President/CEO Elizabeth McCoy and Pam Quitter. Mrs. McCoy will be receiving the award on behalf of the bank. Planters Bank is truly a community bank, and we strive to live our expect great things motto every day. It is an honor to receive this statewide recognition for our banks philanthropy, concluded Mrs. McCoy.
Selbe continued, HCC can always count on the support of Planters Bank, not only in monetary gifts, but in the incalculable gifts of time and talent from bank personnel. Our Foundation Treasurer is Trust Officer Scott Hancock, and we often turn to people in the bank particularly when planning our special events. Planters has been an exclusive gold sponsor of our HCC Foundation Gala meal, and we greatly appreciate all they do for our college, he concluded.
Planters will once again be the exclusive gold sponsor for the meal at the HCC Foundation Gala and Scholarship Auction, slated for Friday, November 5, beginning at 6 p.m. at the James E. Bruce Convention Center.
