HOPKINSVILLE COMMUNITY COLLEGE FOUNDATION SETS GALA SCHOLARSHIP AUCTION FOR NOV. 5

The 4th Annual Gala Scholarship Auction, hosted by Hopkinsville Community College Foundation, Inc. is just around the corner. This years event, on November 5 beginning at 6 p.m. with the social hour, at the James E. Bruce Convention Center features Ron Creager at the piano as entertainment. Silent auction precedes the dinner hour, which begins at 6:30 p.m., and is followed by the live auction.

We have some excellent auction items this year featuring backstage passes from Nashville Music City Visitors amp; Convention Bureau valued at $1200, a trip to St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands, President of Keeneland Spring 2011 exclusive box for six including 3 valet parking passes, Fox Creek Cattle Company filet mignons, gourmet beer and cheese tasting and more, exclaimed Jackie Jones, Gala chair. Other items expected to draw great interest from attendees include UK basketball game tickets, Titans memorabilia, a MECO electric cart grill and a Heart-to-Heart package from Hopkinsville Holiday Inn.

The evening will also feature students of the college serving as Ambassadors, to assist with the proceedings. A compelling video, edited by award-winning videographer Josh Maxwell will feature transformation vignettes of typical Hopkinsville Community College students. I think our attendees will be moved by this compelling video that highlights the persistence and perseverance of our students, added Jo Glover, President of the Foundation Board of Directors.

All monies raised go directly to student scholarships.

Reservations are required for the Gala, and cost is $50 per person. Call 707-3733 for more information.
