Previous college work earned at another accredited college or university is evaluated by the Registrar of MCTC. Degree credit work is recognized credit hour for credit hour if taken on the semester system. Quarter hours are recognized as two-thirds (2/3) of a semester hour. Evaluations of previous college work can be found on the student’s self-service once the Registrar has entered the work.
An official transcript(s) of all previous college work must be submitted to the Admissions Office.
After the Records Office has entered the transcript, advisors can view the unevaluated information in PeopleSoft. Viewing the courses taken at a transfer institution helps the advisor steer students away from repeating unnecessary courses. To view the established equivalencies for MCTC go to the TES database.
