CDL Training

Train for your CDL in just four weeks!

Our Commercial Driver's License (CDL) program is designed for individuals with little or no commercial driving experience in preparation for an entry-level position in the trucking industry.  This top-quality training is provided by Lake Cumberland CDL Training School, Inc., in partnership with HCC's Workforce Solutions department.

Commercial Driver's License (CDL) program includes ...

  • CDL learner's permit and Class A endorsement preparation;
  • 160 hours of training, 8 am-5 pm, Monday-Friday, for four weeks;
  • map reading, trip planning, and vehicle operation training;
  • DOT rules, regulations and log books;
  • Class A road test administered by Kentucky State Police;
  • certificate of completion and job placement assistance.
  • All classes are taught by certified and experienced trucking professionals.

HCC's all-inclusive program fee covers the cost of all the items listed above.  Course content also includes information to prepare for the Hazardous Materials Endorsement Knowledge test; however, students who are interested in earning that endorsement are responsible for scheduling the HazMat exam and paying applicable fees.

College Credential

Students will be enrolled in TRU100 and earn a Tractor Trailer Certificate from HCC upon successfully completing the program.

Students must ...

  • be able to read, write and speak English,

Please note:  Students with a driver's license from outside of Kentucky should allow additional time for registration.
