Four Year College and University Transfer

We are here to help make your transition successful! Whether you are transferring into a KCTCS college or just building upon the education you receive from us, we can help. The transfer process can be complicated regardless of the college or university you choose. You should work with an advisor early on in this process so that we can make sure that your plan is appropriate for your goals.

The Student Transition Center (Career and Transfer Services):

Maintains information on four-year colleges in Kentucky and other states
Hosts visits from recruiters from various four-year colleges
Helps students find transfer applications and information
Helps students complete scholarship applications for transfer schools

Top Five Transfer Tips:

Visit the Student Transition Center as soon as you know you want to transfer
Be sure to keep your grades high to be eligible for transfer scholarships
Research the institution and major you want as soon as possible to ensure the most efficient transfer
Contact appropriate resources at your transfer institution to stay current of changes

We work with many colleges and universities to make sure that you receive credit for the courses you take at HCC, but you should always check with the Student Transition Center to make sure the courses you are taking will transfer for credit to the college of your choice.
