The Associate in Applied Science (AAS) degree in General Occupational/Technical Studies provides flexible alternatives for meeting student and employer needs. This program serves two general purposes:

Mathematics (Southern Association of Colleges & Schools (SACS) requires natural sciences/ Council on Occupational Education (COE) requires mathematics) 3
Natural/Applied Science (SACS requires natural sciences/ math, COE requires natural or applied sciences) 3
Behavioral Science/Social Interaction (SACS requires social/ behavioral science, COE requires behavioral science) 3
Humanities/Fine Arts (SACS requires humanities/fine arts, COE requires humanities) 3
Writing/Accessing Information 3
Additional General Education Coursework 0-12
Computer Literacy (Computer literacy must be demonstrated either by competency exam or by completing a computer literacy course 3
Technical Courses: Industrial Technology, Business Technology, or Health and Human Services 42-58
